This website at governit.ca is operated by GovernIT Consulting Inc., a corporation incorporated under the laws of Alberta, Canada. In these Terms of Use, "GovernIT", "we", "us" and "our" mean GovernIT Consulting Inc. "You" means the person accessing the site.

By using this website you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to them, please stop using the site.

2. Using our content

The content on this website is provided for general information. You may view, download and print pages from the site for your own information and for use inside your organization, as long as you do not change the content and you keep any copyright or attribution notice that appears with it.

You may not republish our content commercially, sell it, present it as your own, or incorporate it into a product or service you offer to others, without our written permission. If you would like to use something from this site in a way these terms do not allow, write to info@governit.ca and ask. We are usually happy to say yes.

5. Our name and marks

GovernIT, the GovernIT logo, Foundry, PMO Foundry, AI Governance Foundry, Project Salvage and the other names and logos we use to identify our services are marks of GovernIT Consulting Inc. You may not use them without our written permission, whether alone or combined with other words or design elements, and whether in advertising, promotional material, press material, or any other public communication.

Other parties' names, marks and logos may appear on this site. They are used to identify those parties only. Their appearance does not mean those parties endorse GovernIT, this website, or anything on it, and these terms give you no right to use them.

6. This website is not professional advice

The content on this website is general information. It is not project management, governance, legal, accounting, tax, privacy, security or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice about your own circumstances from someone who knows them.

Do not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of anything on this site without getting appropriate professional advice first. Using this website, contacting us through it, or receiving material from us does not create a consulting relationship, a professional relationship, or any duty of care between you and GovernIT. Those begin only when we have a written agreement in place.

7. What you send us

Please do not send us confidential or sensitive information through this website. Our contact forms and general email are not secure, and information you send us through them is not treated as confidential unless we have a written confidentiality agreement with you covering it. If you have something confidential to discuss, contact us and we will arrange an appropriate way to receive it.

If you send us questions, comments, suggestions or other feedback about our services or this website, you agree we may use that feedback for any purpose without obligation or payment to you. This does not apply to personal information, which is dealt with under our Privacy Policy.

8. Links to other websites

This site may link to websites, resources and tools operated by other people. We do not control them, we are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of them or of anything on them. You agree to indemnify GovernIT Consulting Inc. against any claim, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms of Use or your misuse of this website.

13. Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Alberta. You agree that the courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or from your use of this website, and you attorn to that jurisdiction.

14. If part of these terms cannot be enforced

If any part of these Terms of Use is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part is to be read down as far as necessary to make it enforceable while keeping its intent, or severed if it cannot be. The rest of these Terms of Use continue to apply.
